2026: The year of the Heart
My word for 2026 is Heart (Connection). Of our three brains - head (Clarity), Heart (Connection), and Core (Courage)- everyone has a "default"- one that is most comfortable and natural for them.
For anyone that knows me, my default is Core/Courage.
I am known for getting things done. While this is a good thing, it has its downsides. For one, I can get so focused doing I can miss what we are feeling- myself and whoever I am interacting with.
Echo, my heart horse, had a huge heart. He taught me the beauty and value of listening to and taking care of the heart. He passed in 2024 and I miss him every day. Moonbeam is here now, and he constantly reminds me- the "doer" - to breathe, relax, and pay attention to both of our hearts.
In this age of technology, multi-tasking, AI, etc., remember that our human, biological heart goes at its own speed and evolution. Our relationships need time and quiet and peace to process our emotions and our lives.
This year I will practice listening to my heart- breathing, slowing down, and truely listening and seeing the world through my heart (Connection) first, then leverage my Clarity and Courage to round out a more empathetic, warm, and loving life.
