Horse Wisdom: Standards of Success

Lately I have had the joy of seeing Echo looking for me as I walk to the pasture, and running up to me when I arrive. With ears up, he tackles whatever I ask and gives me his best. He shares his opinion and trusts me to respond as his partner and leader.

This is the exact opposite of about 7 years ago when I got him. He used to run away full throttle when he saw me coming.

There are many things I do not know about horses and horsemanship, but I do know that I communicate more clearly, connect more easily, and have the courage to speak my truth better, stronger, and with more empathy than before I had Echo. My discernment is sharper and I am more compassionate. I am more accepting and far less anxious and demanding. I am happier, and my relationships are richer.
In short, my life is better as a result of the clarity, connection, and courage I have learned from my horse.

I don't care what most people think of me, but how my horse is in my presence is my personal gold standard of being the best person I can become.
I love my Echo.
